The Washington Redskins tamed the Jaguars and are flying North to Ring the Eagles Bell.

The Redskins tamed the Jaguars and are heading North to Ring the Eagles Bell.

Is there really anyone surprised that Robert Griffin III will not be making it through a complete NFL Season AGAIN?  After Griffin was injured and couldn't move on a "no contact" play, the Football game continued as he laid there motionless.  Kirk Cousins throw a touchdown pass on his first play on the field and then the crowd cheered as RGIII was removed from FedExField as the Redskins starting quarterback.  I pray for Griffin's speedy recovery so that he can make it on the trade block by week 6.  The Seattle Seahawks knew what they were doing when they "Bullied" 3 first round draft picks from a desperate Washington team for the opportunity to have "RGKnee".

DeSean Jackson aggravated his shoulder early in the Jacksonville Blowout but will not be missing this match-up against his former Philadelphia Eagles team.  Jackson has been looking forward to making the second year Head Coach Chip Kelly and his Eagles pay for the decision to start gang related rumors and cut him.  I'm sure the shoulder may just need a "Get Right" Injection (much like the one RGII got his first year) and a "Addaboy" to be a dominate force on Sunday.

During DeSean's Post Game interview at Redskins Park, there wasn't one person who could ask the "Million Dollar Questions".  "Does this remind you of Michael Vick getting hurt and then Nick Foles coming which ended up being your best year ever in the league?  How do you feel about having a real opportunity to be a Leading Receiver in the NFL now that you have a great quarterback to get you the ball?  When you score a touchdown against the Eagles on Sunday, what gang signs if any will you throw up at Coach Kelly?"

Alexander Ovechkin (Ovie) vs. Robert Griffin III (RGIII)

Robert Griffin III vs. Alexander Ovechkin

If you're a true Washington D.C . fan than you love the Washington Redskins and the Washington Capitals.  As the Washington Nationals and the Washington Wizards couldn't seem to get a winning season together, the Caps and Redskins had the "Superstar Additions" that gave our city hope.   In 2004, the Caps signed the most electrifying player to ever take the ice, Alexander Ovechkin!  A few years later, we witnessed one of the greatest quarterback draft classes that the NFL Combine has ever produced.  That was so exciting because the Redskins were guaranteed one of the best QB Rookies in the Nation.  Why couldn't we ride off in the sunset and have some rings or cups to show for these additions?

Alexander Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby (Center for the Pittsburgh Penguins) were both promised to the be the best players in the NHL.  Ovie could out skill the skill players and punish the bruising brawling opponents.  There's certainly not many players like him but Crosby had a very similar skill set that set himself apart in pressure situations.  Crosby won the Olympics for Canada and the Stanley Cup for the Penguins as Ovie couldn't seem to claim victory in the "win or go home" games for Russia or the Caps.

The Heisman Trophy winning Robert Griffin III could arguably be the best player in the 2012 NFL Draft as the Washington Redskins traded up with Seattle for the second spot.  RGIII definitely has the potential to be great and has already done great things but wasn't the first pick overall for a reason.  Much like the Sydney Crosby, Alexander Ovechkin comparison, the NFL has already highlighted Griffin as injury prawn and unable to 100% bounce back from them.  Although Andrew Luck (The 2012 NFL Draft First Overall Pick) has not won a Super Bowl yet which seems to be the way great players are measured, he's clearly a better quarterback and leader at this point than RGIII.

Washington Redskins 2014 lose their first game against the Houston Texans.

Redskins were no match for J.J. Watt

The game started with the Fox Commentators announcing that Washington Redskins Head Coach Jay Gruden wanders around the stadium before the game with "No Clue" of where he is.  They then stated that Gruden had to call a taxi to get back to his hotel room in Houston.  By the end of the game it was pretty clear that he still may not know where his is.  Hopefully he can remember that he was hired to be the Redskins Head Coach and they need some more offense and a lot of help on the Special Teams.

After a couple of 1st quarter empty possessions, the Redskins managed to hand it off to Full Back Mike Sellers for a second attempt touchdown.  This would be the first and last time that Skins could find the sacred sod. The extra point was then blocked by none other than Super Star Defensive Lineman J.J. Watt which set the course of the remainder of the game.  The Houston Texans took advantage of a defensive blown play as they answered with a 76 yard touchdown toss to DeAndre Hopkins. On the Redskins next drive punted the ball into the hand of Alfred Blue (block punt) and he returned it for a touchdown.

The Texans number one draft pick Jadeveon Clowney left the game with an leg injury and did not return.  This really was not a big deal since Watt made enough plays for the both of them.  The Washington Redskins have the play of RB Alfred Morris to hang their hat on as he racked up.  Ryan Kerrigan made a great play to try and keep the Redskins in the game by stripping Arian Foster inside the 10 yard line.  The Washington Redskins just could not seem to get anything going and QB Robert Griffin III seemed have half of the skill, half of the speed or his Rookie year and only scored in one half of the game.

THE DALLAS COWBOYS LOBBY FOR THE WASHINGTON REDSKINS TO CHANGE THEIR NAME by Ron Robey

FIGHT FOR OLD D.C. AND KEEP OUR REDSKINS NAME!!!

It's a proven fact that 90% of Native Americans are not offended by the NFL team named the Washington Redskins.  I would imagine that 10% of Native Americans are also offended by the label "Native Americans."  In addition, you could further make an argument that 35% would rather be referred to as one of the 566 Native American Tribes legally recognized by the Bureau of Indian Affairs of the United States.  The Washington Redskins are certainly a team that is in the center of the "Politically Correct" atmosphere of our Nations Capital.  For this reason the Washington Redskins should absolutely be protected as it's heritage and history runs deep like roots of a tree into America.

I would have to say that the Dallas Cowboys and their owner Jerry Jones are behind this name change distraction.  With the Redskins recent acquisition of DeSean Jackson and successfully securing their key returning veterans, the Cowboys are in que for another 8 and 8 season.  Maybe if they could get this "Washington Redskins" name change conspiracy and this fumble of a trademark embarrassment to grab the short lived spotlight, it would be just enough to disrupt training camp.  When the haters are piling up and you haven't started fighting yet, something great is about to happen in Jesus name!  #HTTR

"STOP TAKING AWAY MY RIGHTS, FREEDOM AND HERITAGE BECAUSE OF A FEW OFFENDED PEOPLE"

Why can my daughters no longer say "One Nation under God" when they're reciting the Pledge of Allegiance at school?

Why are you politically incorrect when you say "Merry Christmas" to someone?  Clearly a majority of people believe that Jesus Christ (the Son of God) was sent to earth to die for our sins.

How long before our slowly declining United States of America currency has "In God we Trust" removed from it because of offended people?

My Family Heritage is as important as my ancestors even though I apparently "Do Not" have the right to be offended being a Hetero-sexual Caucasian Male.

The Washington Redskins have been apart of my family for generations and I'm offended that you're offended enough to rob my heritage.

-Not a sermon, just a thought.

The Washington Redskins prepare to pick 2nd in the 2nd round of the 2014 NFL Draft by Ron Robey

THE WASHINGTON REDSKINS ARE READY TO WIN!

It's no secret that the Washington Redskins traded the St. Louis Rams 3 first round and 1 2nd round draft pick to secure Robert Griffen III with the second pick of the 2012 NFL Draft.  The Redskins would have been selecting 2nd overall in the 2014 draft due to their pitiful performance last year but the Rams benefited instead due to the desperate deal.  Washington has made some pretty bold moves considering the recent acquisition of DeSean Jackson and can by no stretch call this season a rebuilding year.  If the Skins do not make it to the Championship Game in the 2014 Season, these moves are a bust and they will leave a similar expression on their fans as Johnny Manziel's face as the Dallas Cowboys passed on him.

This 2014 season has the potential to be a legitimate Super Bowl run for the Redskins as they retained Brian Orakpo, Santa Moss, Ryan Kerrigan, DeAngelo Hall and other high paid returning athletes.  With fingers crossed, the Skins must restructure a few deals to make cap roof for draft picks and are predicted to concentrate on getting their defense solid with their first pick.  Remember that Alfred Morris was drafted in the 6th round of the 2012 draft.  He earned his way into the discussion of "Rookie of the Year" and the 2014 "Cover of Madden 15".

With all of the weapons locked and loaded, the Washington Redskins can only count on rookie head coach Jay Gruden for direction.  It's equally important for the Veteran Players to provide leadership which with London Fletcher retired the Skins will have to manufacture deep in their roster.  Will RG3 be able to duplicate and/or exceed his "Rookie Year" performance after announcing his decision to play without his knee brace in 2014?  Will the Washington Redskins locker room be strong with a questionable DeSean Jackson injected into it?  I'm sure anything has to be better than losing most of your matchups under Mike Shanahan egotistical coaching style.  We would love to hear your thoughts!  #HTTR +Ron Robey

DeSean Jackson / DeAngelo Hall meets with Washington Redskins Jay Gruden / Bruce Allen to FINALIZE deal by Ron Robey.

The Washington Redskins just got better!!!

Former four time Pro Bowl Philadelphia Eagles Receiver / Punt Returner DeSean Jackson met with Washington Redskins Quaterback Robert Griffin III in LA today.  This meeting was to discuss the possibility of joining this once dominate Redskins franchise.  It's important to star players to remain in the spotlight and have their hands on the ball as much as possible.  This being said, chemistry builds confidence between a QB and his Receiver.  Quite frankly there has been enough drama with "I need more attention" player disruptions like a Terrell Owens and/or a Dez Bryant type of teammate.  The other item to discuss would be DeSean Jackson having to change his number since RGIII wears number 10.

Redskins Cornerback DeAngelo Hall has found his way back into the spotlight recently after the release and possible addition of his fearless rival.  DJax and DHall together would be the first reason you would think team chemistry would suffer but Hall announced from the highest rooftops that Jackson would make the team better and he's all for it.  This was no surprise as Hall actually scored more points by himself than the entire offense in the first half of the first 5 games last season combined.  Obviously Hall would welcome anyone who could score a touchdown after last years 3 and 13 performance.  Check out the full blog at http://washingtonredskins2014.blogspot.com/

DeSean Jackson left LA and flew into Dulles International Airport where he was introduced to mob of reporters.  Escaping with the traditional ear phones drowning out any questions, Jackson proceeded to meet Jay Gruden (Redskins Rookie Head Coach) and Bruce Allen (Redskins GM) for a dinner meeting.  Tuesday will be the official meeting between the Washington Redskins and DeSean Jackson where Dan Snyder will be present for the expected signing of (DJax) the biggest fish in the sea of NFL Free Agency 2014.  The Redskins have 6.4 million of cap room at this time and are one of the few teams that can pay market value for a player of Jackson's talent.  Rebuilding is over, the only goal would be to take the Skins from the worst team in the NFL to the SUPER BOWL in Jesus name, Amen.

DeSean Jackson is coming to the Washington Redskins and is going helpthis 3 - 13 team get over the hump!!! By Ron Robey

DESEAN JACKSON IS COMING TO THE WASHINGTON REDSKINS!

Are you ready to play for a real team?  Come on down 95 and be a Redskin!

Following the news of  Superstar Wide Receiver DeSean Jackson being released from the Philadelphia Eagles yesterday, he's now meeting with the Washington Redskins next week.  Rookie Head Coach Jay Gruden will have one leg up on the season with the addition of this Pro Bowl Kick Return Specialist and Wide Receiver.  Jackson has a pile of interested teams to include but not limited to the Chiefs and Buccaneers.  He will likely sign with the Redskins due to the distance of Landover, MD is to Philidelphia, PA and joining the explosive playmaker in Robert Griffin III.

SOME OF JACKSONS FIRST ACCOMPLISHMENTS

1.  First Player to be selected for the Pro Bowl in two different positions.

2.  First Rookie to start for Andy Reid due to some key injuries.

3.  First game that was decided on a Punt Return final play during the "Miracle at the New Meadowlands" game.

4.  First player that will bring the RG3 Led Redskins to the NFL Super Bowl!  You heard it here first!!!

DeSean currently has 131 Punt Return attempts for a total of 1,294 yards with 4 touchdowns.  His equally brilliant receiving career is also impressive with 356 catches for 6,117 yards scoring 32 Touchdowns.  In addition to these stats, Jackson has rushed 57 times for 373 yards and 3 touchdowns in his only 6 short seasons with 3 Pro Bowl selections.  The Washington Redskins will have all the fire power necessary to win with Pierre Garcon, Santana Moss and DeSean Jackson catching the ball and with Alfred Morris and Roy Helu Jr. running the ball.  Let's get pumped up for the 2014 Season!!!  :)  #HTTR - Ron Robey #mrronrobey
